NC State Board of Elections (published Nov 2007)
*Dates are subject to change due to acts of the NC General Assembly

Polls are GENERALLY open on election day from 6:30 AM until 7:30 PM (however this can vary by COUNTY and Precinct depending on several factors) It is advisable to check with your local County Board of Elections office to know your local election day schedule.

Make sure your voter regristration record is correct (for your current address) no less than 30 days prior to the election. If you move prior to the election consult your local Election Board to determine where (what precinct) you should vote within. Provisional Ballots are available at all precincts; however, recent elections have shown that you should make every effort to vote in your correct precinct since provisional ballots may be challenged at a later date.
